Range "Clean & Pew" Day at our private Dahlonega Range in the beautiful
North Georgia mountains

Picture
Morning RANGE CLEAN UP List:
Bring anything that you would want to use to clean up your yard...
  • Weed eater
  • Lawn mower
  • Backpack or pump for weed killer
  • Gloves and hat
  • Rake
  • Hoes/pitch fork
  • Sickle
  • Pruning shears
  • Saw to cut branches
  • Expendable pole saw and pruner
  • Wheelbarrow (only need 1 or 2 so check w me)
  • WHAT AM I FORGETTING?

We will supply H20 and snacks but please bring your lunch

Afternoon PEW PEW Gear List
:
  • Folding chair to use during opening statements and lunch in the pavilion
  • Pistol w/holster that will not collapse when drawn (strong side, inside, outside waistband or appendix is fine).
  • NO SERPA HOLSTERS or collapsible holsters
  • Duty belt/rig is APPROVED
  • Please make note that the range MAY be muddy due to inclement weather and/or previous rain fall so keep that in mind when it comes to foot attire. OH, AND there are tiny natural springs throughout the grounds that keep parts of the range moist.
  • Concealment garment is encouraged but not required. Please make note that some students will be working from the "ready" position and some will be working from "the holster".
  • 200 rounds of factory loaded ammunition
  • Magazine pouch (if none don’t worry pockets work well)
  • A sturdy belt for the holster and magazine pouches (try your gear on prior to class)
  • Extra magazines: Double Stack x 3 mags and Single stack x 4 or more mags
  • Eye & ear protection (foam inserts or muffs – electronic muffs recommended)
  • "Back up” gun if you got it. You never know when a failure will occur and screw up your whole training day
  • Hat with bill.... this is WHY!
  • Sunblock and bug spray (as needed)
  • Don't forget a change of clothes (in case you get wet in the creek or just want a dry shirt to change into)
  • OPTIONAL: Knee pads to use during after class RANGE CLEAN UP
Prerequisite:  You need to be an alumni of any kind to participate in range clean up and picnic lunch. You need to be a "live fire" alumni to participate in the afternoon PEWPEW.

Inclement Weather:  This is NOT a rain or shine event. We want to have FUN, be productive, have a picnic at lunch, shoot in the PM and enjoy the day! Please visit the Facebook event page (date specific)  for weather update.

 Hello alumni!

We wanted to see if anyone was interested in spending the day with us on Sunday, April 5th, 2020 (10am-4pm) at our Dahlonega range!?!?

Once or twice a year we head up there to remove blockages (small branches and weed growth) in the little creek, cut low hanging branches, remove weed vines from fence, clear the sides of the driveway, lay pine straw and/or mulch,
clean the pavilion  and possibly even plant some perennials...basically help keep our mountain range beautiful.

Please make note for afternoon PEWPEW: All LIVE FIRE alumni who have trained with us in the last 12 months will be invited to stay and shoot with Brian in a "training setting" after lunch. This is for peeps that have already shot with us because the "afternoon shoot" will not be for beginners. There will be a LIMIT so get with me asap to ensure you can shoot after lunch.

Please "register" (below) so I can get you on my volunteer list. Please go to our Facebook Event (below) and mark GOING. I will also send out a REMINDER via email (Constant Contact) about a week before GO TIME.

Thank you for all your support,
Brian & Shelley
