The ADVANCED Core Four

"Two problems I have encountered in training are a lack of movement and multiple targets so I decided to make an ADVANCED Core Four to address this deficiency.
  • Can not shoot for the RED without earning the Black first. Only Black belt "holders" are eligible to shoot this. 
  • The ADVANCED Core Four CAN be used with the regular Core Four apps and "calculator" below. Shoot it in the sequence 1-4 as shown. Ignore the existing course of fire in the app. You MUST score 90% or above in order to earn the coveted Red Fire Ant patch. It will still say BLACK BELT because that is what is programed into the app. 
  • Level 3 holsters do NOT get a penalty for lack of concealment. 
  • Just to be clear. White, Blue, Purple and Brown can be shot "outside" of class if you are alumni. Just video the course of fire so we can see you and the target with NO editing. The Black rank and the Red Fire Ant rank must be shot in a class. 
  • The ADVANCED Core Four is shot from 7 yards with the exception of #1
  • Goal = Shoot all ALPHA body shots with the exception of the Failure to Neutralize Drill which includes a head shot. 
  • If you miss (a MIKE), you MUST immediately shoot that sequence again. If you have another MIKE anywhere in the course of fire, you are DQd.
  • 1 "mulligan" allowed per string. 

RED FIRE ANT RANK COURSE OF FIRE: 
  1. Start at 5 yards. Use one target only. While moving back, draw and fire 2 rounds starting from the "fence hand position". There is a 2 step minimum which will put your close to 7 yards.
  2. From 7 yards. Use 2 targets. You are shooting a SPLIT Bill Drill which is 3 rounds on one and 3 rounds on the other. The targets need to be spaced with 1 yard in between. You can stand in front of the left target, the right target or the middle of the targets .
  3. From 7 yards. Use one target only. Failure to Neutralize Drill. While moving forward, shoot 2 rounds to the body, transition to the head and shoot 1 round. There is a 2 step minimum which will put your close to 5 yards.
  4. From 7 yards. Use the 2 targets. SPLIT Moving Drill. While moving (right to left or left to right) you will shoot 2 on one target, reload and shoot 2 on the other target. No step and slide. Must be 2 real steps.

Instructions
  1. Input your first and last name
  2. Punch in the times from your shot timer (no decimal points needed!)
  3. Tap the number of Charlies (tap A if you went too far)
  4. Tap “Calculate Score”
  5. Reset times, points, or all of it (after you calculate your scores)
