The Mingle: Openness to Experience, The personality trait that best reflects the lay concept of open-mindedness is called “openness to experience,” or simply “openness.” Open people tend to be intellectually curious, creative and imaginative.

Being open-minded is generally considered a positive quality. It is a necessary ability in order to think critically and rationally. If you are not open to other ideas and perspectives, it is difficult to see all of the factors that contribute to problems or come up with effective solutions.
The Mingle dedicates every event to all the ladies that come with an openness to experience.

The Mingle 2026 will be held in the beautiful North Georgia Mountains at Cohutta Pine Range in Cisco, GA. CLICK HERE for more about Cohutta Pines.

We are looking forward 2 full days of running 2 live fire classes and 1 classroom presentation AT THE SAME TIME....PLUS THE MINGLING ON SUNDAY AFTERNOON! We will "round robin" it and everyone will get to train in each 3 hour block! WHOOOOT! We will provide lunch, snacks, water, and ammo to shoot during the HK live fire block !

THANK YOU Michelle Cerino! She is our featured media for the 3rd year! Michelle Cerino (aka Princess Gunslinger) first entered the firearms industry in 2011 as co-owner, president and trainer at a national training company. She soon started competing in both 3-Gun and NRA Action Pistol, becoming a sponsored shooter with her family. A year later, in 2012, she began her writing career at Women's Outdoor News. Then, she expanded her reach by contributing to various print magazines and online sources. Her bylines appeared in magazines such as American Frontiersman, The New Pioneer, Gun World, Personal Defense World and Combat Handguns. She currently has a column at NRA’s Shooting Sports USA and writes for Shooting News Weekly. 07-23-2025 The Mingle has banned the Sig Sauer P320
 
Several law enforcement agencies, aspects of the Secret Service, firearms instructors and training academies have banned the Sig Sauer P320 handgun due to safety concerns, specifically the potential for unintended discharge. The Mingle has banned it as well.
 
Key points about the bans and concerns:
  • Unintended discharges:
The primary concern is that the P320 can discharge without the trigger being pulled, often due to bumping, dropping, or holstering. This has caused countless injuries and fatalities.

Here's what is known about Sig P320 discharge incidents:
  • Lawsuits and Reports of Injuries: Numerous lawsuits and reports allege the P320 can discharge without the trigger being pulled. Over 100 people claimed their P320 discharged unexpectedly, with at least 80 gunshot wounds sustained.
  • Deaths: At least three deaths have been linked to alleged unintentional discharges of the Sig P320. The latest being a U.S. Airforce Airman out of F.E. Warren Air Force Base in Wyoming on July 20th, 2025

Sig Sauer's response:
Sig Sauer has stated that the P320 is safe when used as intended and with proper training. However, the company has faced criticism and scrutiny regarding the safety concerns. 
 
Sig Sauer states “The P320 CANNOT, under any circumstances, discharge without a trigger pull – that is a fact. The allegations against the P320 are nothing more than…..”  https://www.sigsauer.com/p320-truth
 
As you know, this is not the case. Safety is our number one concern. There will be no exceptions. If you have planned on using this model at The Mingle, please make other arrangements.
