Scott Jedlinski's Full Bio
We delve into the nuanced art of mastering red dot sight (RDS) technology to enhance firearm proficiency. Day 1 initiates with an introduction, followed by a safety briefing. Students are then guided through the process of zeroing their red dots, crucial for precise aiming. We explore the intricate mechanics of body posture and recoil management, emphasizing dot tracking techniques to predict and control movement. Diverse styles of draws, including the innovative “Wave” Grip, are scrutinized, alongside an in-depth analysis of Fitts Law principles, optimizing target acquisition.
Day 1 culminates with practical drills like the 3 & 2 Drill, reinforcing red dot performance in close-quarter scenarios.
Brian Hill's Full Bio
To optimize training effectiveness, three methodologies can be employed: subtractive (removing elements), additive (incorporating additional components), and progressive (advancing performance parameters). This exploration focuses on enhancing performance in preparation for tests or competitions, emphasizing the use of novelty and complexity to foster engagement and maintain attention. A variety of diagnostic drills will be utilized to isolate fundamental skills, while visual cues and dynamic movement exercises will be introduced in innovative ways. This approach aims to create a more engaging and rewarding practice experience for shooters, ultimately leading to measurable improvements in their performance.

07-23-2025 The Quest has banned the Sig Sauer P320

Several law enforcement agencies, aspects of the Secret Service, firearms instructors and training academies have banned the Sig Sauer P320 handgun due to safety concerns, specifically the potential for unintended discharge. The Quest has banned it as well.

Key points about the bans and concerns:
  • Unintended discharges:
The primary concern is that the P320 can discharge without the trigger being pulled, often due to bumping, dropping, or holstering. This has caused countless injuries and fatalities.

Here's what is known about Sig P320 discharge incidents:
  • Lawsuits and Reports of Injuries: Numerous lawsuits and reports allege the P320 can discharge without the trigger being pulled. Over 100 people claimed their P320 discharged unexpectedly, with at least 80 gunshot wounds sustained.
  • Deaths: At least three deaths have been linked to alleged unintentional discharges of the Sig P320. The latest being a U.S. Airforce Airman out of F.E. Warren Air Force Base in Wyoming on July 20th, 2025

Sig Sauer's response:
Sig Sauer has stated that the P320 is safe when used as intended and with proper training. However, the company has faced criticism and scrutiny regarding the safety concerns.

Sig Sauer states “The P320 CANNOT, under any circumstances, discharge without a trigger pull – that is a fact. The allegations against the P320 are nothing more than…..”  https://www.sigsauer.com/p320-truth

As you know, this is not the case. Safety is our number one concern. There will be no exceptions. If you have planned on using this model at The Quest, please make other arrangements.

Thank you in advance,
Brian, Scott and AJ
