9:45am RANGE 1: GUEST INSTRUCTORS are Claude Werner The Tactical Professor and Ronnie Dodd of Dodd & Associates Training & Rogers Shooting School
Using Drawstroke to Teach Decision-Making (A Train the Trainer experience): Decision-making is perhaps the most under-represented aspect of defensive firearms training today. While Force-on-Force training is available, it is typically structured in a RUN-RUN-RUN fashion instead of the CRAWL-WALK-RUN structure throgerst provides the most effective Adult Education process. This class will use physical skill training of proper drawstroke as the method to introduce shooters to the fundamental skill of appropriate decision-making. Attendees will combine a proper drawstroke and an appropriate force/no force decision in a format that develops both physical and mental skills simultaneously. Firearms instructors will leave the class with an introductory format they can use to teach their own clients not only how to manipulate a firearm but also how to make good decisions. This is the perfect INTRO to Image Based Decisional Drills Certified Instructor Program. Holster work required and 50 rounds. |
1:00pm RANGE 1: Brian Hill of The Complete Combatant
Shooting at the Speed of Sight: What dictates how fast you can shoot with acceptable accuracy? Size, distance and relative risk (missing) affect the available area of the target, but your ability to see sights will dictate the pace of your shooting. This block of instruction will focus on the 3 types of sight pictures, and how they relate to the 3 trigger speeds. We will shoot targets at different distances, sizes and partials, learning how to treat each with the proper respect, and efficiency. Particular emphasis on being able to shot sooner, with accuracy, in addition being able to perform under pressure. No matter your present level of skill, you will benefit from these fundamental concepts. Holster work required and 200 rounds. |
3:30pm RANGE 1: Shelley Hill of The Complete Combatant
Image Based Decisional Drills: People carry a lot of gear but gear does not solve the problem….you do. There are very few range exercises for the private citizen that focuses on making lethal (live fire), less than lethal and non lethal decisions quickly. Our Image Based Decisional Drills are intended to fill the much needed gap in learning how to make decisions using images to provoke a response, decide which TOOL to use and then ACT on that decision. From the time that a bad guy chooses you, you will have a very limited amount of time to make a decision. THEY choose HOW and WHEN. Your actions need to be quick and decisive. With our Image Based Decisional Drills you get to…Make a decision. Choose your “action”. See the results and then think about the pros and cons of the decision you made in a safe environment. Image Based Decisional Drills has it's own website! You can buy an Image Based Decisional Drills KIT or NO KIT, Expansion Packs and MORE! Also check out how to become a IBDD Certified Instructor. "Holster start" with 50 rounds. |
3:30pm RANGE 3: Brian Hill
"Mixed Six" by Brian Hill: The Mingle's "standards/qualification" will change each year. This course of fire will NOT be announced prior to GO TIME! We encourage you to take a photo of your qualification/standards target for your records and to continue your journey of high accuracy standards for yourself, your peers and your students. This course of fire will be printed and given to you at the end of Day 2. BONUS!! There will be a little SURPRISE waiting for you!!! Holster work required with 50 rounds |
