Pistol Essentials
Basic Pistol Class

Measure. Refine. Perform.

Training Schedule & Register for class
USUALLY HOSTED "ON THE ROAD" ON A FRIDAY BEFORE A 2 DAY CLASS. USUALLY ONLY SCHEDULED IN DAHLONEGA FOR PRIVATE EVENTS: Pistol Essentials is The Complete Combatant's 1 day "basic pistol class". Both IRON sights and RED DOT sights are welcome in this class! FUNDAMENTALS are the key to everything! Pistol Essentials is designed to introduce you to defensive shooting and help improve your skills. In this class you will learn the importance of stance, grip, sights, follow through and trigger through dry practice and live fire. We will introduce "presenting from a holster" and practice drawing during dry fire/ live fire.  We will cover shooting from common positions seen in defensive shooting with a higher level of accuracy. Pistol Essentials will teach you how to practice, how to measure your skill and how to TEST yourself.

The ability to present your firearm and make accurate hits sooner is the focus for this 1 day class.  The fundamentals of grip, trigger, sights, and follow through will be explored in a series diagnostic drills focused around the process of drawing the firearm efficiently. These drills will help create essential skills and solid fundamentals for the continued improvement of your shooting competency.

Pistol Essentials is an introduction to modern coaching methodology, application and structure of deliberate practice, and the use of diagnostic fundamentals.

Below are just samples of what this class can offer in addition to the  FUNDAMENTALS. Please make note that each class has its "own personality" so drills will vary.

  • Dry Practice with inert plastic guns
  • "Call" your shots
  • "Watchful partner" drill
  • Visiting accuracy accountability through “timed” standards
  • Shooting from varying distances (up to 25 yards)

At each PE class every new client will receive  a WHITE "Complete Combat Ant" rank patch.  Accuracy standards and challenges are a BIG part of our classes. Please visit our Challenges page for details on THE DRILLS and WHAT YOU CAN EARN! During this 1 day course you will shoot our "standards" to earn a BLUE, PURPLE, BROWN or BLACK "Complete Combat Ant". You must pass at 90% to earn each rank.

We will close day 2 with a few words from your coaches, hand out "Complete Combat Ant" rank patches, recommendations and AWARDS. You will be emailed a Certificate of Completion. This certificate will state the "Complete Combat Ant" rank that you passed at 90%.

  • 9am-6:00pm (arrive 8:30am) Please arrive 8:30am
  • You will register/pay for courses online. Keep the receipt, payment is your first confirmation.  Your second and official confirmation from me will arrive via email about a week prior to class (check your SPAM). Please arrive to class 30 minutes early to complete waivers and registration.
