THE HAMILTON SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM On Sunday, October 16th, 2022 I lost a dear dear friend to a stroke, Joan (Corky) Hamilton. Corky was known, and loved, for many different things. She was a shooter, a teacher, a competitor, a Federal Agent, a student, an influencer, care taker, dog lover, an Olympic athlete, a giver, a helper, a mentor, a constant flow of positive energy and a friend. She was a HUGE Mingle supporter and attend the all but the first year. I think she was the "voice" of The Mingle as much as I was. Please watch theshort videoand consider reading her obituary...she was a Police Olympic GOLD Medalist, Federal Agent, Federal Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor, US Forest Service, a voice for The Mingle to help more women with self protection education, active member at her church, and so much more! These 2 things will give you a glimpse into who Corky was....
To me, she was all of those wrapped up in someone that made my life better. She was in my super small circle of trusted humans and I will miss her more than words can say. Corky and I had many adventures together over the last 7 years but the grandest of all was just having lunch with a dear friend....damn did we laugh!
The Hamilton Scholarship program has been put in place to offer one special lady a spot at The Mingle for FREE! Thank you dear friend for being a part of The Mingle, and my life, for so many years.
HOW:
We will have a couple Team Mingle ladies (this year = Harriett and Tamara) decide who the winner of TM scholarship will be. They will actually pick 2 people and will give the names to me based on top pick, second pick and third pick. We will do this in case the top pick can't make it. I will help organize but I will not have any vote on who receives this gift. After Team Mingle tells me who they choose, I will jump in again with admin duties.
We are going to step outside the box and offer a scholarship (free) spot to one lucky lady that is, or is not, in the firearms/self defense industry.
A Mingle registered guest can nominate ONE familymember, friend, peer, etc.
April 4th- April 20th we ask that our Mingle's registered guests to go to The Mingle's private FB Group (make sure you post in the current Mingle year) and nominate a peer that you would like to attend AT NO CHARGE to them.
NOMINEE INFO TO PROVIDE: Please provide any info that you think would be important to know about this person and most important.....WHY you think they will benefit from attending The Mingle.
Your nominee MUST meet The Mingle's Skill Level requirements:
The Mingle will require them to have safe gun handling skills
They need to be able to follow directions from our coaches
They need to have experience working from a holster
