SUNDAY: FOCUSING ON COMPETITION AJ Zito of Practical Performance is the founder, gunsmith, and lead instructor for Practical Performance. He is a former member of the U.S. Army, Certified Protection Specialist and Personal Security Detail (PSD) Instructor, and formerly the Primary and Lead Firearms Instructor for multiple companies. A.J.’s focus after leaving the security and protection world has been on the concealed/covert carrying and deployment of firearms. He is a USPSA Master in Single Stack Division, as well as a multi-division Master in IDPA. He also holds several Expert and Master ratings in multiple firearms disciplines including pistol, carbine, and precision rifle through various entities. A.J. brings a vast knowledge of ballistics, instruction, competition, and real world employment of firearms to the table. He has often been considered the “pro’s pro” among the groups he has worked with. AJ will be PRIMARY Medical all 3 days of The Quest. |

Scott Jedlinski of Modern Samurai Project is a lifelong martial artist (TKD, Muay Thai, BJJ). He has received hundreds of hours of training from people considered to be the best in the industry ranging from tactical/self-defense to competition. Scott is a Master class shooter in USPSA and is the 16th recipient of the F.A.S.T Drill (#15) coin along with being a three stripe Purple Belt under Tony Passos. Scott has been afforded the honor of instructing members of Pentagon ERT, US Marshal's Service, NYPD Instructor Cadre, Chicago SWAT, Ohio Tactical Officers Association, Texas Tactical Police Officers Association, George Mason University Police, Santa Ana CA PD, the FBI National Tactical Training Unit, US Border Patrol's FMU, Phoenix PD, Garland Texas SWAT, Houston SWAT, Houston Narcotics and many more. |

Brian is owner and head coach of The Complete Combatant located in Dahlonega, GA and past owner of Fusion Fitness and MMA until 2020 where the social distancing, illness, and job loss of many students from COVID-19 forced us to close the doors. Brian is a Rangemaster Certified Master Instructor, a Modern Samurai Project Endorsed Instructor, the head coach of our Image Based Decisional Drill Instructor Certification program, has over 40 years as a student/teacher in the Martial Arts, and holds a Force Science Analyst Certification. Brian is an honors gradate from Andrew Baranca’s Law of Self Defense Instructor Program and is a member of Active Self Protection’s Instructor Development Portal and qualified instructor. Brian is also a public speaker, expert witness, a presenter at Rangemaster’s Tac Con & at Active Self Protection's National Conference. Brian competes, continues to practice daily and will forever be a student. We will dive into predictive, reactive and deliberate vision , working in and around cover and how it effects your vison and footwork, the consequences of "shoot throughs", cognitive stacking, tool cycling, verbal commands and MORE! |
