Special THANK YOU to Chris North! He is our photographer/videographer for the 3rd year in a row. Chris competes in GADPA, he trains with professional instructors, he is a fan of practice and works very hard to be a marksman in competition and self defense. THANK YOU Chris for volunteering your time.

Another HUGE thank you to our coaches and volunteers. We are ONLY here because of YOU! You are the best of the best and trusted friends. We really can't tell you how much we cherish you, your time and your expertise.

The Complete Combatant follows Jeff Cooper's Rules of Gun Safety

RULE I: ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED
RULE II: NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO DESTROY
RULE III: KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET
RULE IV: BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET
ADD RULE V: LET FALLING GUNS FALL

Picture
  • Obviously, there are always exceptions to every rule but please understand that Day 2 is for experienced shooters (experienced shooters = embraces the 4 lifestyle safety rules, has taken a professional live fire class and is familiar with expectations on the line) and firearms instructors ONLY.
  • NO GUN HANDLING! Arrive with your firearm bagged OR holstered. At the beginning of the first block you will be given the option to un-bag your unloaded gun and holster OR to remove your carry ammo from your holstered gun and then re-holster. At the end of Day 2....vice-versa.
  • Arrive 8:30am. If you are NOT present when we start the 9am safety brief  review then you will not be permitted to participate. There will be NO exceptions. You will be invited to stay and watch. EDUCATION is education!
  • This is NOT a public range. This is PRIVATE PROPERTY.
  • Go to the pavilion in the am. Your first training block is IBDD and it will need to have a "sterile" environment. Bring your coolers, etc. BUT LEAVE YOUR RANGE GEAR IN THE CAR. You MAY have your EDC on you. We will remove your firearm (VIA HOLSTER TO A SAFE AREA).
  • Please make sure the GEAR LIST is complete.
  • 2 Bathrooms and running water in the pavilion
  • Port-A-Potty on the range
  • This is a rain or shine event
  • When you arrive, please pull through the gate and turn LEFT into the gravel parking lot. A volunteer will tell you where to park.
  • Please use Google or WAZE. We have NEVER had anyone loose their way using either of these apps
  • Photos and videos will be taken
  • Each student will be required to sign 2 HOLD HARMLESS/LIABILITY WAIVERS when they arrive.
  • I am sorry but there are NO refunds. Thank you
  • The Complete Combatant's range is considered a "hot" range. Range Rules HERE
  • DO NOT contact the instructor direct with questions. All questions will go through Shelley Hill.

IBDD will be practiced DRY with the use of
SIRTS Training Pistols.

NO LIVE FIRE = we will have a "sterile training environment" with no weapons or ammo
in the training area.
9:30am-11:45am Shelley Hill of The Complete Combatant
Image Based Decisional Drills:

People carry a lot of gear but gear does not solve the problem….you do. There are very few range exercises for the private citizen that focuses on making lethal, less than lethal and non lethal decisions quickly. Our Image Based Decisional Drills are intended to fill the much needed gap in learning how to make decisions using images to provoke a response, decide which TOOL to use and then ACT on that decision. From the time that a bad guy chooses you, you will have a very limited amount of time to make a decision. THEY choose HOW and WHEN. Your actions need to be quick and decisive. With our Image Based Decisional Drills you get to…Make a decision. Choose your “action”. See the results and then think about the pros and cons of the decision you made in a safe environment.

Due to the ammo shortage IBDD will be practiced DRY with the use of SIRTS (Training Pistol) or LASER (in the barrel of a disabled firearm). NO LIVE FIRE = we will have a "sterile environment" with no firearms or ammo in that area.

Image Based Decisional Drills has it's own website! You can buy an Image Based Decisional Drills KIT or NO KIT, Expansion Packs and MORE! Also check out how to become a IBDD Certified Instructor.

ZERO rounds needed

12:45pm - 2:45pm Stephannie Weidner of Active Self Protection
Abbreviated Evidence Based Pistol :
After spending the morning in the classroom learning the most important skills needed to win a gun fight, we will spend some time on range building that skill-set, as well as giving participants a path to continue to grow and improve at home.  FOCUS: DRAW TO FIRST SHOT

Items needed: This is a defensive minded class. We strongly recommend bringing your carry gun, concealed in your normal carry holster. While we bias very strongly towards practicing the way you carry, we also understand that not everyone is carrying every day and the minimum requirement is a gun in a safe holster. If you have any questions please contact the event organizer (Shelley Hill) or Instructor Steph Weidner.
